I think my appraiser brethren tend to look at things in this one-size-fits-all way. Not all, but sadly, many.

Now, don’t get me wrong, appraisal reports have their place and are the solution to many problems. Need to know the value of the real estate collateral for a loan? No problem. Your property’s tax assessment is too high? I have just the thing you need.

Maybe I am wired differently. I don’t mind writing appraisal reports, but I would rather jump in and help you solve a problem. And make that problem go away fast. Or create a strategy that makes you look good. Or really rich. Or create a process that makes your life easier.

It’s all about you.
